Default 2000 Dante Pure Speed

** UPDATED LIST BELOW**


Sang Priests with Sang Guard. Dante with Vanguard. Viable?

HQ:

Dante

Elites:

Sanguinary Priest x3, Jump Packs, Power Swords

Troops:

Sanguinary Guard x5, 1 PFist
Sanguinary Guard x5, 1 PFist
Sanguinary Guard x5, 1 PFist
Assault Marines x10, 2 Meltaguns, Sarg w/Pfist

No advice? =) I'm pretty sure this isn't perfect. Kind of wondering if Dante with the Van Vets isn't a great idea due to them not being able to use their Deepstrike Assault move.

It's a very small list for 2000 points. Your also lacking in anti-tank. What kind of tactics are you planning on using?

Yeah you need some Inferno Pistols into those Sang Guard Squads and Melta Guns in all the Assault Squads. Flamers are ok but you're pretty decent against hordes already so worry more about tanks.

This is like my list, speed is your asset, you will need to use the terain well, to make this list work. But it is extremly fun to play, and man it looks good.

The creatures of the Warp have but one trait with which you need concern yourself - their undying contempt for the Emperor. It is your task to quell the rebellion they preach, and the only sure way is to destroy them utterly.

Never run Dante with the Vets. You want him in a shooty squad because you can place him on the map and essentially auto-kill the tank of your choice. Honor Guard work exceptionally well since you can give them 4x meltas plus you get FNP because of the Chalice. I'd swap out a unit of Sang Guard for them.

Also, why not round out one of your Assault Squads so you can get the second heavy weapon? Leaving the other 7-8 man squad with a flamer makes for a decent objective/cleanup unit.

I like this a lot more. Just quibbling now, the Priests don't really need Power Swords, they're kind fragile and are going to get singled out in combat so make them as cheap as possible. If you do want to give them a weapon make it a Lightning Claw.

Dropping those swords you could by another Marine and a Hand Flamer for your last RAS.

Makes sense. And actually I was wrong that flamer RAS above was 8 strong. With the dropped swords it can be 10 strong with meltas like the rest. Like you said before BA are already decent against hordes, so might as well max out meltas. Comes to 2000 points exactly.
