Default 3000 point biker list

Space Marine 3000 points list

Kor’sarro Khan with Moondrakken – 205
Command squad on bike, 3 meltaguns, 1 thunder hammer, 1 power weapon, all have stormshields - 355
Vulkan He’stan – 190

Terminator Squad, 1 with chainfist, 1 with assault cannon, has DC Land Raider Redeemer – 475
Terminator Assault Squad, 3 with TH/SS, 2 with LC, has DC Land Raider Redeemer – 440

5-man bike squad with 2 meltaguns, 1 MM attack bike, sergeant has power fist – 235
5-man bike squad with 2 meltaguns, 1 MM attack bike – 210
5-man bike squad with 2 meltaguns, sergeant has PW – 175
10-man tactical squad with flamer and ML, with twin-linked assault cannon razorback – 245
10-man tactical squad with flamer and ML, with twin-linked lascannon razorback – 245

Vindicator - 115
Vindicator - 115

Total points - 3005

Khan is attached to the command squad, Vulkan is attached to the terminator assault squad.

This seems like a pretty solid list to me, I think.

Oh and quick rules question - do the bikers have an 18" assault range? As they can move 12", and you can move 6" to assault. or can they not assault if they move 12"?

Why not have both termie squads with TH/SS? But it looks pretty solid.

And yes, bikes can move 12" and then assault 6". Pretty cool huh?

Does Khan give the entire army outflank, or just bikes?

Well, I would have both as assault terminator squads, but only one assault terminator squad and only one normal terminator squad can have a land raider as a DC, hence why the other terminator squad has to be normal.

Kor'sarra Khan gives any squad he is attached to hit and run and furious charge, and every single unit, including DC, have the ability to outflank.

And yeah, 18" assault range is making me love bikes even more...can they shoot and still assault? If they can then that would be even better...

ok, first off...

your command squad,

4 veterans
1 apothecary

any VETERAN may take the upgrades NOT the apothecary the apothecary does NOT count as a veteran... this means that your apothecary CANNOT have a stormshield... this means if my calculations are right that your points are off seeing as you have paid the points for 5 stormshields...

as far as khan's outflank goes it extends to your entire army, including dedicated transports.

outflank can be found in your rulebook look it up in the back.

and as you have an extra heavy support slot you could take the second land raider as a heavy support choice and then put the second squad of terminators into it. this would allow you to have them as assault terminators...

Still can't find outflank...

And I was thinking about trying to fit another vindicator in, but if I can't find the points then yeah I would put the LRR as my last heavy choice slot, replace normal with assault terminators, which would also free up some points.

Space Marine 3000 points list - take 2

Kor’sarro Khan with Moondrakken – 205
Command squad on bike, 4 meltaguns, 1 thunder hammer, 1 power weapon, 4 stormshields - 350

Total points - 3000

Made the changed to combat squad, adding in an extra meltagun.

Any ideas what I could drop to get an extra vindicator?

Or if I put the LRR in my last heavy choice, what I could do with the extra 35 points?

Cheers!

Outflank is at the back of the rule book. It must be announced when you deploy the unit. Roll a D6, on 1-2 it comes in from left side, 3-4 right side, and 5-6 is players choice between the two sides.

what are your plans for your command squad?

cause you might be able to get some extra points out of there if you are planning on concentrating on close combat, or if you are planning on using them as a shooty force...

and an idea for those last 35 points put a multimelta on each of your land raiders, and maybe put another power weapon in your command squad... this might give them a little more capability in close combat, (for 15 points you can upgrade a normal veteran in the command squad to the champion, this gives him a power weapon as well as giving him one bonus to his weapon skill. however because he is still a veteran you can still give him the stormshield and any other upgrades.)

just another thought for your command squad if you are using the 35 points that way...

if you want to take another vindicator, then you can get 50 points by dropping each of your first two bike squads down to 4 instead of 5, 4 normal bikes +the attack bike is 5 bikes meaning that they are a scoring unit.
