Default Deathwing 1500

1500 list for a little tournament I have signed up for. I haven't played in some time, so I'm not expecting to win.. or even place highly for that matter.

Belial
-TH+SS
= 190

5 Deathwing Knights
-Perfidious Relic
= 245

5 Deathwing Terminators
-Sergeant w/ TH+SS
-3 Terminators w/ SB+PF
-1 Terminator w/ AC+CF
= 250

5 Deathwing Terminators
-Sergeant w/ TH+SS
-3 Terminators w/ SB+PF
-1 Terminator w/ CML+CF
= 255

Landraider Crusader
-Multi-Melta
-Extra Armour
-Storm Bolter
= 270

Landraider Crusader
-Multi-Melta
-Extra Armour
-Storm Bolter
= 270

Total = 1490

Been a bit underhanded and not taken the Crusaders as dedicated transports to avoid having to splash out on the 'Deathwing vehicle' upgrades.
However, not sure if that is legal, and will need some guidance on that if you guys can provide any insight?

Thoughts?

Perifidious Relics are really, really crappy, I'm afraid. I love Knights, although you might be better served with TH/SS Terminators since you're paying an exorbitant cost to make them Scoring.

That's valid.

I really don't like it. It looks a bit like a double-rock list, but without any kind of support at all. Any good army will take down the Land Raiders in short order with Meltas or Lances, and with such a low body count you really can't put out very much damage until you get into close combat, which is difficult with such fragility. Land Raider Crusaders don't really have any firepower until they get within Meltagun range, which is a bad idea for obvious reasons. I'd much rather see another unit of Terminators and 2 Dreadnoughts with Twin-Linked Autocannon (Mortis-Pattern if you're allowed Forge World, but you're probably not, so Riflemen will have to do) instead of the 2 Land Raider Crusaders.

Now that's a list I could get behind, although I think Belial's better off with Storm Shield for tanking duty at the front of a squad.

I thought about that.

Reason for choosing the LCs is because the squad he will probably join already has TH+SSs...

Although, the 3++ would make him harder in challenges.

TBH, you're murdering most everything with 3+ saves when you charge with Terminators + attached beatstick anyway, so the Lightning Claws aren't adding all that much to your offensive capability, while the Thunder Hammer is allowing you to double out minor characters or enemies with 2+ saves (i.e. enemy Warlords - wait, don't you get more Victory Points for that? It's almost as if that was planned) while also increasing your durability.
