1000 points salamanders - what's missing?
I've been working on my 1000 pts sallies with the new codes, and i've hit a road block with what to take to finish it off. I have just over a hundred points left and I'd like opinions on what i should use to finish off the army, as well as general critique.
This is what i have so far:
5 x sternguard - Heavy flamer, 4 x combi melta, rhino
10 x tactical marines - flamer, MM, Rhino
10 x tactical marines - flamer, MM
Fast Attack: 138
3 x bikes - 2 x Meltagun
1x attack bike - MM
So far i've been looking at taking more sterngaurd (they will be riding with Vulkan), a drop pod MM dread, a whirlwind, a HF/MM landspeeder or a vindicator.
The bikes will be used to steam across the table and pop tanks, the tacticals will be squadding up to take objectives and reduce threats, and sternguard + vulkan will be an aggressive unit to help take objectives.
What do you think i need to round this out? I haven't played Vulkan yet so i'd like to try him out and see how he fares.
