Default Space Marine Megaforce [1000~ Points] - Need Help/Advice

Hello, I'm still trying to decide what army to build (Currently it's between Dark Angels and Ultramarines) I got some good advice for the Dark Angels idea and now I'm hoping to compare them to regular SM.

This list is exactly what you would get in a Space Marine Megaforce (There is still one at my local GW) but I'm unsure if this is a viable/effective army. I'll list it out and, to my knowledge, it's around 1000 points.

HQ:

Space Marine Command Squad

Elite:

Ironclad Dreadnaught

Troops:

20 Tactical Marines

5 Scouts w/Sniper Rifles

Heavy Support:

Landraider Crusader

Dedicated Transport:

Drop Pod

Razorback

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

If I were to add to it I think I'd throw in a Librarian and a Stormraven (Maybe another Tactical Squad with a Rhino if possible.)

Does this seem like a viable idea? I'm a little hesitant to drop $300+ without knowing exactly how good an army will perform. It needs to be a take-all-comers list and there are a fair number of fliers in my store. Thank you for any help.

Honestly, this list is not a very effective army.

Some advice on 1000 points army, while trying to maximize the units you got :

HQ
Captain

Troops
10 x Tactical Space Marine (8 x Bolter, 1 x MG, 1 x ML, Razorback)
10 x Tactical Space Marine (8 x Bolter, 1 x MG, 1 x ML, Razorback)
5 x Scout Squad (4 x Sniper, 1 x ML, Camo Cloak)

Elite
1 x Dreadnought (2 x TL AC)
1 x Dreadnought (2 x TL AC)

Heavy
1 x Predator (Autocannon, 2 x TL LC)

Green is for units that you will get, red is for another. But to optimize this list more, you could change the captain into a librarian.

Unused :
Land Raider - You need terminators for this, without terminators they won't work.
Drop Pods - Can still be used, just swap this for Razorback. But I don't think that Tactical with drop pod is a good tactic, though Sternguards with Drop Pods may be a good tactic.
Ironclad Dreadnought - Too expensive, regular dreadnought is more than enough.

Army Lists :
Need Advice : 2000 pts GK Army List

Old Army List : 2000 pts GK Army List
Old Army List : 2000 pts SM Vulkan List

I'm normally a Dark Angels Player. This is how this list should play. It's not a bad list but it could use some tweaks.

Ironclad Dreadnaught This guy is a close range monster. kit him out as such and put him in a drop pod.

Troops:

20 Tactical Marines Your standard troop choice. Kit themn out for your play style. I'd suggest a Meltagun and ML for all comers.

5 Scouts w/Sniper Rifles Sit these guys on an objective.

Heavy Support:

Landraider Crusader Think of this as a command squad delivery system. It also if really hard to kill and had a lot of fire power.

Dedicated Transport:

Drop Pod For your Dread

Razorback Make this a rhino and have it run up a troop to old the objective your Command squad cleared off.

If I were to add to it I think I'd throw in a Librarian and a Stormraven (Maybe another Tactical Squad with a Rhino if possible.) Both of these are solid choices. You're lacking in the andi mech department so I'd kit out your Storm Raven as Anti Tank.
It's not really that bad of a list if you play it right. Things I'd add:

Aegis Defence Line or Storm Talon kitted for Anti Flyer
Assault Terminators (if you add this drop the command squad)
Laz Pred (For Anti meq)

Grey Knights and Dark Angels Project

Thousand Sons
Grey Knights
Imperial Knights

Thank you both for the advice, I'd like to keep the Command Squad if I can simply because they come in the megaforce, but I might work on switching it out for a Librarian + CC Terminators.

I'm glad to hear Storm Talons are good, I like the idea of having a Space Marine list that has a bunch of big toys (Land Raider, Storm Raven/Talons, Drop Pod/Dreds) so I might just sell the Command Squad on ebay and work towards getting Terminators.

Just cause it's supposed to be a command squad doesn't mean you can't use the bits to make some bad ass normal guys. Save the bits you don't use and you'll use them later. Playing Dark Angels has led me to hoarding bits. I have 6 milk crates of sprues and 2 other large baskets filled with "current project" bits.

Grey Knights and Dark Angels Project

Thousand Sons
Grey Knights
Imperial Knights
