Welcome back from the burn out fella.

Beautiful Wraithguard. The helmets are striking and I love that effect.

I have been working on an Autarch this week and I have been enjoying not painting up an entire squad and instead doing just one mini.

I decided to highlight this mini using my airbrush to hit the high points instead of edge lighting, much like the dark reapers I did a while ago.

Anyway here is a WIP shot

Hey guys, so here he is, I've magnetized up his back back and gun arm so i can change his loads outs fo different set ups.

SO Next up is the new Flyer, but I have no idea how to paint the under body, because i want to paint it similar to the falcon with the Space patter on some panels and i think that this won't blend into a black undercarriage and the edges well. So I cant think of what to do with it, i think that i could go with a blue the same as the top? Any ideas?

Next on my list here is the flyer, I have started to magnetize this model up for both versions, not to bad only going to take a few magnets in some key places like under the wings. I had to use a big magnet and some green stuff here because the mags won't be actually touching, I'll snap a few more pics of magnet placement next update.

The paint job on this will be very similar to that of my falcon, and as you can see below I have started the process of taping and priming it.

That's a very cool and well executed colour scheme there Troy. Have you airbrushed or hand painted these models?

It's a combination of both usually, the vehicles are done with an airbrush except for a few details, and the troops are mostly with a brush. However I try to use the airbrush on them as much as I can these days. For example the wraith guard are almost all airbrush work, the armour base colors and hilights on the guardians, reapers and Autarch are all airbrush as well, followed by a wash to blend it together and fill in recesses. The space theam starts with a prime of black then the stars are hand painted and the galaxy colors are aribrushed on.

I still have a hard time with the pics I take though, it hard to get the different shades and color fading that i do with the airbrush to show up when I take pics for some reason...

Loving that cape & sword - stirling work. The rest of the model is pretty damn gorgeous too.

Interested to see the flyer in it's final glory

I do like that Autarch model. I've got one a little green-stuffed/converted as an Asurman (I own about 11 Asurman conversions now...).

I'm just in love with the blue you use. Fits the Eldar just perfectly.

These are looking really nice. The autarch has a lot of nice contrast and detail going on. The wraithguard need something more. The star field helms are lovely as are the guns, but the rest of the model looks really incomplete. The plates are all more or less the same, as are all the spirit stones. The gun cabling could also use some highlighting.
