Default Waaaaagh Whizzwang (WFB O+G)

So. I've recently started a tale of 15 gamers type thing with a few friends on facebook. The rules are simple.

Paint 500 points every month for a year for WFB.
Each month has to be the same army, but month by month you can change.
No sleazing extra points to avoid painting so you can only claim WYSIWYG costs (all mages count as level 1 for example)
You have to paint at least 1 unit of infantry or cavalry of any size every month.

So here's where I started: (Note these pics are already up elsewhere on herr but thought I'd actually start one of these project log thingies)

Black Orc Warboss

16 Black Orcs

I'm not happy with these yet. Too much bare metal so I'll probably add some Cheques or Dags as a spot colour to make them a bit more interesting.

Giant

Not a bad start I think. This month I intend to fill out the black orcs and add some Night Gobbos to the army. Sadly the little buggers are only 4 points each so it looks like I'm painting at least 40.

Here's a little gobbo with a gun I plan on using as a hero with one hit wonder. Using the older multi part plastics as he's a little bigger. The gun is from the Empire Militia / Mordheim sprue.

Impressive project outline! I'm happy if I paint 100 points a month

O&G have always had a special place in my heart so I'll gladly follow this log.

we get forfeits if we fail to provide. And the guy running it is a rather imaginitive individual, so it's not worth the risk.

I've had quite an industrious week recently and have several different uniyts on the go at the moment. More black orcs to make the unit useful, 50 night gobbos, fanatics, shaman, might start another giant.

Here's some of the more complete stuff to keep you occupied.

Boar Boyz: Have not done the banner on these guys yet. Haven't found a design I'm happy with on paper yet. I freehand all my banners and they all follow a similar style. Plain colour background, Icon and edged cheques/dags. This one will mostly end up like my wolf riders with a boar skull in place of the wolf.

Chariot: This was actually painted a while ago but I hardly everfield it as I only have the one and previous to 8th it'd just get exploded. With the changes to the rules I've started to squeeze it in to see how it goes.

Wolf Riders: These guys are truly awesome. Fast Cav get the funky start of game move, and although you cannot charge you CAN use Hand Of Gork to get them in combat. Very effective. Only 9 are painted as Trashcan (my painting buddy and 6 month old kitten) managed to bat the champion onto the floor before they were undercoated and i only noticed he was missing as I started to paint.

Gobb Big Boss: Painted up the little gobbo with the big gun from further up the page. Still keep forgetting to pop him in an army though so he's yet to shoot anybody.

more pics after the wekend when I get the Night Gobbos to a photographing stage.
