Default Crimson Fists, building to 2500pts

Hi all. I'm starting this army and saw this section on the site. So I thought why not log my travels.

(wait a sec just while i sort this out)

Anyway I just need to go take the first pictures. This is what I've got so far, hopefully more soon, apologies for any bad picture quality. Most pictures of units are shown in halves so I could get a "better" picture.

Stuff on show:
  • Pedro Kantor
  • 10 (11 ATM) Tactical Marines, 2 Lascannons, Plasma Gun, Power Fist
  • Terminator Librarian, Storm Shield
  • 6 Sternguard, 2 Combi-Meltas, Power Fist

very nice work so far dude, i love the extreme blue highlight on Pedro's cloth on his hip! very catchy! are you still in progress of painting the tacticals, because i don't see any eye lens colors (minor thing really, might be the picture quality?)

did you sculpt the librarians stomrshield yourself? if so, very nice job on that! maybe if we could get a front view of that?

so far, very very nice work mate, I'll be watching this thread

Thanks very much

Unfortunately the Storm shield was half stolen half "given" to me by a friend. I then bent the end of a paper clip and shortened it to make the handle.

Currently I was going to leave the eye lenses unpainted (just black). But I'll get to work on painting them as it makes them stand out more. I'll use the same green as I did on Kantor's eyes.

(this doesn't mean peace out, its the victory sign. victory to weasly. ME FTW!!!)

and yeah, i would paint the lenses with the same green as Pedro's, would look very good on a squad of these bad boys!

Your paintjob on Pedro is superb! how do you paint your clothes because they look really good as well?

If you mean the cloth (as in to Pedro's side) I built from Fenris grey to white. Then did a watered down asurmen blue wash on it. I finished by touching up the cloth with pure skull white.

OR

You mean the parchment (purity seals) then I built from the foundation charadon granite to bleached bone. Seriously even if this isn't what you wanted start doing it! It's quick and easy and looks very good at the end.

PS: I've got another unit of Tacticals coming soon, so a picture update will be included with an update on the librarian. I've also got another sternguard with (yet) another combi-melta ready.

SOON!

Thanks for the praise

Got a small update here. Just a couple of Veteran Sergeants I've made ready for my tacticals. I'm trying to avoid having a boring set-up of marines. I've got a policy that only half any squad can just carry bolters, the rest must be interesting in some some way. Anywho, heres the serg's. They shall be painted very soon!
