Default Tau....resurrected from the garage crypt.

After being INSPIRED by Sigurs Tau force I decided to dig out My Sons old Tau force which he gave up on many years back. The figures you see are what He had done but I have tried some things out on them like a blue wash on the Crisis suits and had a go at a spot of camo on the Stealth suits. Have a look and give me your verdict...just might open up that box of unfinished tau and try to do them justice!

C&C as always welcome!!

You definitely need another army Zxyogi - i don't think you're putting the rest of us to shame enough by just regularly updating your 3 beautiful current armies....

The scheme looks really nice, Orange is always a good choice! the camo looks very good and i think you could set them off fantastically with good basing.

The weapons all need some work to make them consistent, and i would bring the optics on the stealth team up to a much brighter green. The black on the stealth suits also needs attention but other than that i'd say they are ready to fight for the greater good.

Really like how ou did your camo. Like that it (for lack of a better word) blends to the model instead of screams "look at me, I have camo". Nicely done!

I think they are looking good, although I would like to point out a few things - the bases need to be fixed (perhaps you were about to do that), and you have also put a little too many support systems on their shoulders.

To make a model into a piece of art, you need to find a model that you like, and a painting scheme that you love.

Thanks for the replies!
As previously stated these were built and painted by my Son about 5 years or so ago.
All I have done is add the camo and a wash and very basic tidy up.
I will base them/finish them and then start on the box of Tau he never started. Looking forward to doing them. Still working on my other Armies tho....watch this space but don't hold ya breath....For to long anyway!

Edit......found some before pics.....

And will be having a go at finishing this...altho its done but will practice some effects or summat on it!

Till next time!!

Those are amazing. Great choice on the color combo. With some creative basing, these would be perfect in my book.
