Default Beastmen Reikwald tribe log!

As I posted the army list up earlier, though I should start a log on getting there just before I head off to work.

As mentioned this is gonna be an ongoing storyline of a brey-shaman gathering beastmen to inevitably go against the empire and he's already brought on the services of an ungor tribe..which is where this log starts!

Bought the first 10 of my soon to be block of 20 ungors

Excuse the quality... This includes the half horn, standard bearer and musician.

Got the first model painted up lastnight!

I love the tone of the skin as it give him a 'dirty' look about him!

Made a start on a couple more this morning. But bearing in mind, most will be tabletop standard but il increase my painting ability as I go!

Funnily enough, my friend from down south has started a skaven army and is bringing his models with him next time he is up so already got my first battle with this army set up! Also will fit in nicely with my storyline.
Cheers.

Its a nice start, I wouldn't have a Half Horn in the unit for games however

Care to enlighten why? I don't see anything major wrong with having him in the unit or did I miss something in the army book?

A wee but more done...managed to highlight the first model to completely finish him off! Definetly looks a lot better!

Then here's him alongside a base coated model

And here's the new addition fully completed!

Progress will be slow...but here's hoping its worth it when it comes to the first battle!

Only question left is...what style base should I use? Have a Forrest theme or just regular gravel and grass that seems to be the norm?

Its all about the challenge mechanics, your champ can issue/accept a challenge but you stand to lose up to 5cr with overkill bonus. Also for the points I'd rather have more bodies than attacks so the unit lasts that little bit longer. Of course you could always have a front rank of Minotaur characters and use the ungor as a rank bonus
