Default RAYROD64 IG Thread: The Combined 317th

Greetings fellow heritics..

Im going to start a new thread to go showcase my IG Army. The original vision was to have a Tanith first and only but a army composed of 6 diffrent figs would not keep me interested for very long.

So while reading Sabbat Worlds I like the idea of all diffrent types of armys in one camp made up of decimated armys clumped together and sent out to fight.

I already had around 30 ghost and I added another 20 Border world rangers from Victoria Miniatures. These are great minis gents. very clean and heroic sized.

I also painted some Cadians to get the initial paint scheme for the infantry ...

and the scouts

Thanks gents!
I have to say that it was more than a little imposing to use the airbrush for the first couple of times but I have gotten a lot of good advice from this forum, especially from DJINN24 I apprieciate all the advice and knowledge he has put on the boards. it really helped me alot.

The armour is brilliant man! You've certainly got the knack for airbrushing! Well impressed! :-)

Thanks again for the comments it always helps to motivate.

My plans are to make a combined IG Army, it will have a mish mash of figs i have im my collection. Mostly Catachans and Cadians it will also contain a platoon of Tanith (recon) some iron legion which i will put in a Chimera. and plenty of armor.
The below are a couple of armourcast models a Baneblade and a Shadowsword. I just had the tops and i bit purchased the treads.

im going to plasticard the rest.
I worked on the a squad of Catachans to get the color scheme down:

I also forgot to mention that the tanks are going to be magnetized so i can swap out the weapons or transport easier.

Cheers
