New board

hey all

This is the beginnings of a board for 40k im putting together.
Its going to be a sort of abandoned refinery in the desert sorta thing.

Anyway as a start its in 3 600X900 sections.
I have used some spack filler to get a sort of dune look.

Painting is next then im gonna start adding some pipe tracks and a few columns and vessels.

On a side note i finally finished my warhound today. (was fun but could be a nightmare to get it to stick.)

Nice ground effect with the filler, can't wait to see it painted and decorated.

I love the idear.. and how it looks

I ponder though if a more realistic Dune affect could be reached by using some Block Fans placed at one end of the board.. you let it blow for a bit and let ripples occur.. I say block fans, becuse you would need more than one to blow evenly down the edge.

you can also get some fine sand and mix it in a thin layer of glue to give is more of a sand dune look as well.

I thought about that but we only have dirt and rocks in the backyard. I may have to make a visit to the beach ........
