Dreadball

Does anyone on here play it? (not seen a thread for it on here).

I recently got the Kick-off boxset for 20 and it's not a bad game, but i'm loving the basic rules so much that i'm not sure about buying the Extra-time expansion or not? (I will buy the Dwarf and Rat teams first regardless)

Is it simpler to play than bloodbowl?

I can't seem to edit the link properly and its not working so here it is again.

I've been playing Blood Bowl for years and i've only just got into Dreadball because I found Kick-off cheap in the January sales. I find it easier and quicker to play than Blood Bowl, but bare in mind i've only played using the basic Kick-off rules (so no referees or cards, etc...), so I couldn't tell you if it's easier overall because they are alot of advance rules and expansions (seriously i've seen a 6-player version with a different board).

Thanks for finding the correct link as i've messed it up in my post.

It's on my must try out list... quite ashamed I haven't played it yet. Since BB is my all time favourite game this has the potential to be great for me.

The startup cost doesnt seem all that crazy either.

Same as Jez, really like the look of it (it's speedball!) and it's on my list, but just haven't got round to it yet.

Give us a heads up once you've tried the full rule set, i've only seen a couple of decent reviews for it so far.

Will do, although i'll be getting the Rat and Dwarf teams before getting Extra-time (the rules for them are in Kick-off).

That kick off box is pretty tempting - do you think the rules are simple enough for kids to play? Might pick it up next time we need a new board game if the kids can play it too.

The game is easy to pick-up because nearly all the actions revolve around rolling a set number (usually 3, but stuff can add or subtract dices) and you just try to roll your target to get a 'success' and in some cases you compare successes.

These guys talk you through a basic game using Kick-off - http://www.beastsofwar.com/dreadball...l-academy-ep1/

The Modeling side are easy because they are push fit, but the painting side of things I found harder because the scale is different than Games Workshop models.
