On a side related note, there are free zombie rules on the internet.

http://akulasblog.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

I also have some for Resident Evil (But they're crap) and two other sets which are pretty expansive for free rules (About 20 and 30-ish pages each).

The only good thing about being on one of these small combat outposts in Iraq is big wall, razor wire, M240B, M249, .50cals, and I have both a M-4 and M-9 in my room. Bring on those stink'in Zombies!!! But really...I do hate them.

If you are wanting to change games and love painting then I would highly recommend Infinity. Infinity is the best system I have ever played and that coupled with the fact that they have a ton of absolutely breathtaking models means that the game is made of pure win. The game has a bit of an anime/manga feel to it but not so much that if you aren't into that stuff it would be unplayable.

Everyone in my gaming club I have demoed it for has ordered stuff for it or will be soon. They have the rules for free on their website http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/en its in the download section. The rules can be a tad rough to understand at the beginning so i would recommend using the quickstart rules to pound the core mechanics into your head before moving into the advanced stuff. Also i believe they have some starter videos on their site as well.

If you are the last man standing, you aren't fighting hard enough.

I got some US Rangers from The Assault Group in the post a few days ago and they look awesome.

They're metal and the gun barrels were bent slightly, but it's an easy clean up.

I even got a handgun guy and some sort of SMG dude...

These will work well for a zombie apocalypse scenario.

Over the past year I have branched into the following and would recommend them all:

Spartan Games - Firestorm Armada - excellent space fleet game, starter sets are about 30 (10 ships), rule book about 15, and over all you could expand your fleet to a good size for about another 80, so about 130 you have a complete system.

Mantic - Kings of War - fast paced and uncomplicated fantasy rule set - 200 will get you a big army - the models are cheap compared to GW (although some of the ranges are not as accomplished as the GW equivalent, but they, if the issue is price - this will solve it).
Also their '40k' version is out this year - may be worth a look as will be cheap!

Privateer Press - Hordes/Warmachine - not cheap, but cheaper than GW, but a very fun and compelling game with some nice models.

Great thing was, I funded all my new stuff by selling off two 40k armies and all my Warhammer stuff - and still have money to spend on my expanding Magic the Gathering collection - hurrah!

I am the White Knight!

I've purchased Tomorrow's War (it's Ambush Alley 20 minutes into the future to xx thousand years).
Minis for it?
Humans are humans. Guard works fine.
Power armoured elites? SM. But they will play like the fluff portrays them.

Hey! Where'd ... Everybody ... go?
