The link changes after you put it into your browser, so because of that your link won't work...

Here's a working one for anyone interested:

http://www.offensiveminiatures.com/p...stage%20Rescue

And the Rhino itself:

Storm Bolter and all!

Nice find Doc!

I myself am going to start off with the Assault Groups selection on Ebay.

Seriously, how could you not... they're so cool... I could remake my last game of COD 4 with them.

So to cast 1 "Man with a sword" in metal takes 1 minute.
To cast 1 "Man with a sword" in resin takes 5 minutes.

Then to cast the same number of resin figures in the same time as metal takes 5 times the workforce and machinery?

Five times the equipment investments. Five times the employee wages.

And let's not even get into wastage.

If the "Man with a sword" miscasts in metal, you melt him down and recast.
If the "Man with a sword" miscasts in resin, you..... you cant melt him down. You have to throw him away. That's a total loss of resin material.

We might be lucky the prices arent going up more.
Sorry mate but what do you know about the casting of metal. 1 minute? I hope you were exaggerating by a long shot.

and do you know what process they use to cast metal? there is more than one way and looking at the detail of their models it not the cheapest way.

Nope he is about spot on with the casting time of metal using centrifugal casting machines, which GW uses.

Ahem.

To be honest, the spin time for metal is about a minute, and the spin time for resin is 10-15 minutes depending on the model.

I was in fact, grossly underestimating the difference in times. The process GW uses to cast resin is (pretty much) the same one they were using to cast metal.

Six to one, half a dozen the other.

resin is a lot cheaper than metal but harder to work with and takes more training.

metal is a lot easier to work with and takes less training but is more expensive than resin.

We'll leave it there we don't need another thread about prices.

WE NEED MORE ALTERNATIVES!

First I should say that GW is in no way dying. To think so is silly.

Now, onto the topic at hand. Warmahordes is fucking amazing, I would seriously suggest you give it a go before writing it off.

Infinity is also a fantastic game. Great rules and great fluff. More complicated than 40k, but much better.

FSA (firestrom armada) Is has some awesome models. I haven't been able to play a game myself, but from what I have seen it is fast paced and fun.

The Website kept telling me that my profile was only 80% complete without creating a signature. Ain't no website going to tell me I was a lazy shit, no sir.

I wasn't being serious, I was meant to put a "?" after "dying" too
