Default Any tcg players?

So i recently got back into the pokemon tcg after a massive nostalgia trip and was wandering if any heretics played any tcg's? I have played yugioh and pokemon in the past and have a theoretical knowledge of magic the gathering.

A significantly late reply, but I used to be very involved in Yugioh.

I played yugioh in my earlier years but never enjoyed to actually playing of the game. I found the pace to be far to slow to set up your attack and then it gets ruined by 1 of many different trap cards. I only really cared about the collecting aspect of it.

Agreed, although the new(ish) Exceed summons have made the game ridiculously fast.

Tried my hand at MtG and YGO. YGO has far, far too many staples to be really playable, and my Six Samurai took precisely zero efforts to win with. MtG is kind of cool, but got so expensive and again, very formulaic with some things being very obviously better than others.
