Default Tomorrow's War.

Alternative rules for 40K

Fed up with GW's standard 40K rules.

Bored with 'I go-you go'!

Try, action reaction! Keeps you in the game.

Put new life in to your 40K figures

Then take a look at this:

Ambush Alley's 'Tomorrow's War'!

A good review here:

I've got it.
I've played a few games.

There's another book coming out, soon. Scythe and claw, all about aliens and how to "convert" them from "other games" across to TW. Also covers elite power-armour exclusive shock units.

Hey! Where'd ... Everybody ... go?

Sounds interesting.

Think I'll pick this up. I got VOR and was largely let down by the rules but this seems my kind of game.

You can even make up your own units/alien races. I already own Force on Force ( I love it), and I can't wait to buy Tomorrow's Wars

Also here is a link to a guy that played some of it with 40k minis.

Default Tomorrow's War.

Also, you are not restricted to any model range or scale whatsoever.

And you don't need masses of figures, to have a good game.

It encourages, rules tweaking and imagination.

Plenty of good support at the Ambush Ally Games forums or TMP.

You can also create you own alien races. Heck I know a guy that is currently making a Alien army based off of the Alien franchises for Tomorrow's war. Heck there is also a rule set (Ambush Z) that deals with monster. For example an AAR of a game based off of Dog soldiers (i.e. werewolves)

and don't forget zombies. http://ambushalleygames.com/forum/vi...hp?f=44&t=8362

If you've played Stargrunt I or II then you will at least be familiar with the die type mechanics (troop quality determines die type) from d6 to d12. It's kind of a "spiritual successor" to it.

They got permission to use photos of every miniature in the book by their respective manufacturers (Khurasan, GZG, Old Crow, Pig Iron), too. Although they DO have an "official" line of minis coming out (GZG), you still don't HAVE to use them - the rules are designed to be played with what you already have, in any scale from 6mm-28mm.

Hey! Where'd ... Everybody ... go?
