Sure, 5 Lootas have the chance to get 10 or 15 shots, but it's never a guarantee. If you have only 5, it only takes 2 dead to send them running (Ld7 isn't that reliable). Anybody shooting lascannons at Lootas needs their head examined.

5 Lootas have the potential to be useful, but they'll probably manage a shaken or stun on a tank. That isn't too bad for 75 points, but they aren't as killy or survivable as a bigger unit. You can take that, especially if you bring multiple units as well as Buggies/Koptaz and Kannonz.

not a big fan a large units of lootas. they are a huge target! and its very hard to get them into cover and make sure they have LoS. a small unit can still do some damage are easy to handel with out then getting blasted of the table for the start of turn 1.
Well your valuable mek is dead and no more force field protection for nearby vehicles. I've had my mek out the wagon before and locked in combat, I've had other wagons nearby which still benefit from the KFF - yours wouldn't

Indeed they're a huge unit and getting into cover can be tricky, just make sure you have a big crater or terrain! Though I found units of 10 to work fine, really. See with lootas it's volume of fire power, if you take 5 the most shots you can get is 15 and the worst is 5, not very good considering you need 5+ to hit and then on most transports you need 5+ to glance. Not good odds.

So while what you said about them is true, taking them in small units has more negatives.

Wagons are open topped so won't get many weapon destroyed results all in all. I wouldn't invest any more points in them then I'd have to. Keep them cheap!

I have found different experiences with my BW, and anyway what sort of Ork are you, not to put MORE DAKKA on your waggons! I mean, really! I bet you don't even paint them red!

What good is dakka if you can't fire it while going at full speed? ;)

Well I don't actually follow a clan as such, though my orks are painted goff. Though I guess my play style could be speed freaks as I use battlewagon mash up with deffkopter support and loota ranged fire power.

Exactly! No point adding more guns when you cannot fire them. After all you put loads of big shootas on that wagon you cannot move and shoot them because they're S5 and not defensive weapons! Waste of wargear.

the color is a little off because of the flash.

now as Mercer said i also dont really follow any clan. the codex said when a warboss calls for a Waaagh then orks come from all around to join in the battle. lol and also i cant see orks saying to each other (hey lets all have matching wardrobes).

"You should however have armor plates and grot riggers on evrey BW to keep it moveing."
well 2 have riggers and the other one has a big mek in it.
dont think that armor plats are worth the points on a open top vehicle.

For a barebones config the Ram and grot riggers will do.
