Default 2400 Tourney List

So myself and a couple of friends are considering entering some tournaments next year. I had been toying with an all Night Goblin army. However the comp rules on special characters put paid to that idea. So I have gone with a standard Orc & goblin list. We have as follows:

Savage Orc Warboss with extra hand weapon
Savage Orc Great Shaman Lvl 3 with dispel scroll
Night Goblin Great Shamans lvl. 3
Night Goblin Big Boss BSB with Bad Moon Banner
30 Savage Orc Big 'uns FC extra hand weapons
50 Night Goblin Spearmen. Nets, FC, 2 fanatics
8 Trolls
5 Spider Riders
5 Spider Riders
20 NG archers with 1 fanatic
20 NG archers with 1 fanatic
2 Doomdivers
2 Rock Lobbers
2 Mangler Squigs
2 Boar Chariots

All in 2398

Love to hear thoughts on this.

Its not bad, are you looking for an optimised list? Or are you just going for a laugh and the experience?

A laugh and the experience. But not to be tabled every game. My pure NG army has been tabled twice now in as many weeks by WoC. Though maybe its my tactics!

No I own quite a bit. Mostly Night goblins a few spider riders an arachnarok. The savage orcs will have to be bought. Any advice is very welcome, I appreciate it.

Ok so SO Shaman and BO BSB go into separate corners of the Big Un unit, Boarboss is your independent monster hunter you have a good amount of drops and chaff as well as a decent hammer and tarpits.

I like to have single trolls running round the place who can pin units in place, to be hit with chariots, a'rok, savages what ever is free to do the hitting

Expect the A'rok to attract a lot of cannon fire on average it take 3 direct cannon balls to down one, then they'll concentrate on the Manglers which is fine, you need to keep the attentions off that savage unit

Nice I like it. Wouldn't go for doom divers though to get rid of armour saves and tackle beasties etc?

Personally I dont bother with them but I play a lot of VC, Infantry based Empire, OK and Skaven so lots of blocks hence my preferance for Lobbas.

AS can be handled by the manglers, chariots and SOBU's (lots of S5 attacks in first round - although you need to be confident of wiping out the unit)

Monsters are handled by the Boarboss T7 for one round S7 first round S6 there after with 3 base attacks plus the boar and cant be thunderstomped with a 3+/2++ versus fire

He's often my MVP and has downed griffons/hydras and a ghorgon
