Default all gobbo horde help wanted please

this is my 1000 point gobbo horde.it is very chariot heavy for the reasons that they are great on flanks, almost always make thier points back and are really good and even funny to use.

gobbo boss-martogs best basha,enchanted shield,light armour-72
night gobbo shaman-50
x2-50

4 snotling bases-80

40 gobbos-spears,cms-180
x2-180
spider riders-5,cms-95
2 gobbo chariots-120
6 squig hoppers-90

2 pump wagon-80

997

and thats it.the snotlings play a very large role as they bog the enemy down for a turn while the chariots hit them in the side.the 2 gobbo units are the mainstay units and can take a lot of punishment(and probably will as thiers 40 with a solid combat res of 5)
thanks any advise please

This is a nice start but as an all goblin army you will have to learn to live with poor Ld or take skarsnik as your army grows, fear causers could really bother you at the moment. That said all goblin armies are class, i think your next steps need to be wolf riders to support those chariots and some fire power (goblins have all kinds of nasty machines a really low pt cost). I definately agree with the use of snotlings and as you near two thousand points you will need more. But all in all a good start keep us posted as your armt grows.

Ancient has stated some good points. As you grow get some shooting unit and war machines. The doom diver is a great war machine IMO.

One thing I did notice that Ancient might have missed; where are the fanatics? These can come back and hurt you on an unlucky roll, but they can also deny an enemy a charge or hurt an enemy before/during a charge.

As far as leadership, a friend of mine used to throw in an orc (can't remember the type) with the gobbos to even out the leadership some. Problem is this limits you to 4 units (2000-3000 pt game) being babysat by a big meany making any other unit(s) the focus of attack/counterattack.

the fanatics are not needed for a horde combat army.night goblins arent as good imo-4+ save on the regular gobbos makes them a much better combat force as many people think(many a time i have has chaos chosen at str 4 not be able to bring them down because they onli cause 1-2 casualtys!)and plusthe fanatics dont fit in with the theme(night gobbos have to take them

by the way i forgot to mention i am goin to convert the squig hoppers with spider/wolf riders to fit in with the theme

all good points mgtymouse but i had noticed they were ordinary gobbos, in some ways i agree with z4ch the ordinary gobo is often a more suitable battle line unit with the higher Ld. The other trouble with fanatics is they start to dictate army tactics and everyone learns how to deal with them, my personal favorite is sitting on them with an ethereal unit.
z4ch i like the conversion idea be sure to post pictures when you have done them.
