Default 1000 pts O&Gs

I'm planning on entering a 1000 point tournament next month with my Gnoblar army which uses the Orcs and Goblins list, I have around 500 points atm and I'm looking to expand up to the 1000 points by the time it comes about, so I was wondering whether anyone could suggests additional units that can be converted to be gnoblars or mounted by gnoblars?

This is what I have so far:

Goblin Shaman (Gnoblar Shaman)
Level 2
Crown of Command

-125

20 Goblins (Gnoblars)
Command
Nasty Stalkers x3
Two hand weapons
Shields

-130

Boar Chariot (Rhinoxen Chariot)
Extra Crew

- 90

Rock Lobber

- 85

-430

For starters, that unit of 20 better be up around 30-40. Goblins are crap in combat and they will need the numbers to go "bus formation" to hold up any combat units while you get flankers in place. Also, I think you'd be better off w/ some sort of protection on the shaman rather than the Crown of Command. Even just the Talisman of Endurance would be better than nothing. A BSB is also a must for O&G. ESPECIALLY if your general is a goblin!!!.

You also can't go wrong w/ a unit of 3 or 4 trolls. They are cheap enough and pack a good punch w/ the MI rules for 8th. Maybe use Yetis for your "counts as" trolls? Again, be aware that Stupidity will take its toll if you have a goblin general.

If you have access to multiple sabertusks (at least 5), you could use them as goblin wolf riders.

Cool, Normal Trolls or Stone Trolls?

I've also just ordered some bows so going to add 20 "goblin" bowmen once I convert them. I'll get to work on a battle standard though. should be able to make one with what I got.

Edit: How about this? I can do this with the need for two additional boxes of Gnoblars

Goblin Shaman (Gnoblar Shaman)
Level 2
Talisman of Endurance

-120

Battle Standard Bearer
Goblin Big Boss
Light Armour
Shield
Talisman of Preservation

-105

40 Goblins (Gnoblars)
Command
Nasty Stalkers x3
Shields

-200

10 Goblins (Gnoblars)
Bows

- 35

10 Goblins (Gnoblars)
Bows

-35

Boar Chariot (Rhinoxen Chariot)

- 85

Rock Lobber

- 85

3 Stone Trolls (Yhettees)

- 135

Giant

- 200

-1000

Unless I am going completely insane, the minimum unit size for goblins is 20.

Also I wouldn't bother with the different troll 'flavours' just take the standard trolls, its a fun themed list. How competative is your meta?

Cool, will alter it to put the bowmen together. I thought the stone trolls would be more themed because of the magic resistance that Yhetees would have?

Apart from the goblin bowmen, is the list legal? I'm really unsure on how the army organisation works now.

Finally got around to taking a look through the rule book and I was right, the list I currently have isn't legal.

I have to many points invested in rare choices. I've dropped the trolls down to normal trolls but the Giant + rock lobber puts me 35 points over the maximum amount of points I can spend on rare, so I'm not entirely sure what to do.

Everything else is fine, the only problem is the rare choice :/

Drop the giant... I know you're going for a themed list, but that doesn't stop them from being woefully bad. I thin you should replace him with a doom diver. You could have a lot of fun with that... personally I would do it as them calling down a little comet (similar to the Maw), so would make a small shrine to act as the doom diver launcher, but I'm sure you'll come up with something good.

I just made a Bolt Thrower using the Ogre Hunter's Crossbow from the Stonehorn kit heh. Also was going to use the sky titan cannon as a doom diver, I just thought themed wise a Gnoblar ain't that stupid :p

Edit: Also thinking the Gnoblar is actually going to use a parachute and drops bombs instead of doing what a goblin usually does heh.

If I include the Doom Diver I have this, I need to find something to spend 106 points on.

Edit: What about a Bezerk Mournfang with a Gnoblar hanging off a rope for dear life that uses the Mangler Squig rules?

Goblin Shaman (Gnoblar Shaman)
Level 2
Talisman of Endurance

Battle Standard Bearer
Goblin Big Boss
Light Armour

Talisman of Preservation

Goblins can take hand weapon and shield AND short bows, which is a very nice load out for only 4 points per model especially stacked with the Spider Banner AND Gift of the Spider God spell giving 5+ poison attacks in both the shooting and the close combat phase.
