What's the point? It's a useless gesture with no tangible benefit. Speaking of relationships in general, you don't get anything from them. Sex, maybe. Usually after the first few times it just gets boring and uninteresting if it's with the same person.

So, there, sex is the only benefit to having a relationship... that's only "thrilling" the first dozen times. :shrug:

Fucking her ex within two months of me being overseas.

Oh, wait- trivial?

If it sounds trivial, it' usually something that just sparks the powder-keg of resentment thats been building but only kept under control because of habit or a delusional "wanting it to work"

In the Grim Darkness of the Far Future, there is no Common Sense.

It's my opinion, so it's right to me. It's subjective I suppose, but there isn't anything you actually get out of it... unless you're into that whole "love" thing. Stupid concept. There's no right person, sorry to sound a little cliche on a 40k forum, but everything is chaos.

And Gally912, sorry to hear but you should have seen it coming and dumped her ass before you went overseas.

:shrug:

@Achaylus: I think they both went a little overboard with that.

@NoiseMarine: That really depends and if that's how you see it, I'm sorry. Everything is chaos, but I believe there's still some things you can find in that chaos.

@gally: I'm sorry that happened to you. I know a lot of military people and it's sad that things like that happen to you guys, but I think there's 2 type of military couples. One that grows closer because you miss them so much and the latter...where ppl are relieved that the other's gone. But sorry that you've gone through that experience.

@HOBO: good for you!!!

Looking for work....

I was watching a programme on the Aftermath of the 9/11 attacks and the impace on the Families of the FDNY, it shocked me that a lot of families broke up after that, the main cause was that Firemen were encouraged to reach out to give support to those widows that lost husbands/boyfriends in that tragedy, but what happened was that a lot of those firemen began having affairs with those widows, many firemen simply walked out on their own families to move into another one.

And i recall an incident of a man i know, who went to Vietnam and became a POW and so when he eventually arrived back home he found his wife had found another man, they got married and had children.

This guy went into a rage, he felt that she had betrayed him, but, she showed him a letter that was sent by the Army, in that letter the Army had declared that he had been killed in action. This poor bastard looked at his wife who seemed to be happy and there were kids involved and he said goodbye and walked away.

Ultramarines are Pussies

Except Dark Angels, any chapter that sounds like a Death Metal Band can't be that bad.
