Default Look at what I made!!

I made this "Case" in design for my A Level project, I wanted to keep heresy up to date, but it just kinda flowed.

It was very expensie to make (the foam alone came to 68..). Originally I wanted to make it so I laser cut the foam to make specific holes (like Battlefoam). It holds 360 models plus tanks. And each smaller case is completely removable and can be used separatly, I know its not entirely viable in the day to day usage I know, but still, keeps a lot of models safe, and thats all that counts right? .

Here are the pics:

That's cool! You gonna paint it up or stain it or something?
Nice one

I'm just gonna put some Matt Varnish on it, Simply cause I like the look of the wood, and I've also got to veneer the edges .

Thanks

Wow, that's pretty awesome. I wish I could make something like that.

Expensive, but VERY cool, what an awesome way to store your models at home.

Is that a drug sniffing dog in the first pic? Your busted!

I am very jealous of people that have carpentry skills, I can't cut a piece of wood straight to save my own butt. That is a very nice looking cabinet, +rep.

Nah, that was my dog Ozzy, he's a legend. To be fair I didn't do an aweful lot of work, my teacher cut a lot of it on the Circular saw in school, the only real "Carpentry" stuff I did was to plane a curve to follow the warping of the wood .

Cheers!

You do realise that you could make a lot of money with this, right? Just try to cut the prices (you don't look like the guy whos in need of someone else giving him ideas :D) and you can stroll in to your LGS with one of these, everyone will go O_O DOWANTDOWANTDOWANT and you could say "Hey, you pay the price and I'll make one for ya." They might be able to save you the trouble and provide some of the materials, so if I were you I'd prepare a list of prices, with "Skillz" being a humble but decent amount of money.

The fool, the coward, and the ignorant proclaim that the warp is a realm of unknowable peril and indescribable terror, that it is the hell of countless ancient myths and legends. This is a lie, told by those whose authority is based on lies, to keep the masses terrified of the unknown. The warp is limitless power and its secrets are infinite; it is knowledge and strength, life and death, and the untapped potential to make and remake worlds. It takes only the discipline and the will to shape it; those who lack that clarity of purpose are liable to be shaped by it instead.

Not a bad idea. Get good with a router and a stencil and you could do customized designs like chaos symbols, chapter symbols and such on the top and sides. Even stain or paint to match a persons army. Single drawer, double drawer and so on too. Many options to offer.
