Frogs are pretty neat, though a lot arent exactly cuddle pets. I like turtles minus the risk of a couple diseases. Both are fairly simple to take care of (little more complex than caring for a snake, which is like caring for a pet rock).

Personally, I like frogs. If you want a "holy crap thats cool" frog, look up Pixie Frogs or maybe a Mountain Chicken Frog (their name was derived from their taste). Frogs do live a pretty long time, not as long as turtles (which some can and will outlive you), similar to small dogs (so 15 ish years). There is a way to build a habitat that will actually mist them for you and all you have to do is occasionally feed it and cycle water out ever 3-4 weeks.

Side note, with a Pixie frog, do NOT poke it. . . trust me. . .go look one up you'll find out why.

Eyes without life, maggot-ridden corpses, mountains of skulls. These are some of my favourite things.

Both are fun, if you want an easy to keep frog species, Id recommend whites tree frogs. Their long lived and hardy. As for turtles, I wouldent recommend aquatic ones as they require large cages and lots of filtrations. You cant go wrong with a russian tortose though, execept that it will probably live longer than you will. Regardless of what you get, RESEARCH IT FIRST, then buy it.

Actually, turtles are easy to keep and pretty cool. They live a long time and when let loose on the carpet can really truck around!

We have a russian tortoise. Shes totally manic after she comes out of hybernation. Very cool pets, and can double as Ork Squigoth.
