Default Fuggin Right!!!

Some of you here know that I have been struggling to keep my head above water for a long while. Being an automotive technician for Chrysler has been poor as of lately and I was laid off back in October of last year.

Well, I GOT MY FRIGGIN' JOB BACK TODAY!!!!!

I can keep my house, truck, motorcycle and the wife and kids! I was down to my last $65 in the savings account and had the house, truck and Harley up for sale just to keep from going bankrupt or worse. Well, no more! I tore the for sale signs to shreds and burnt them to ashes in a celebratory homage to the job gods.

I feel human again...

congrats! always nice to hear that someone got his job back he lost due to the greed induced crisis before. especially from those big ass moneyburners like gm or chrysler. so cheers!
unfortunately i didn't get the job i was already assigned for due to strict saving restrictions of the company. i'm an enginneer and it's downright next to impossible at the moment to get a decent job in germany in the engineering department. cuz of the crisis all good companies lost up to 50% of their orders, don't get credits from the filthy banks and for that do not appoint new jobs at the moment. it friggin' sucks.

Close isn't the word for it. I have been doing odd jobs and stupid stuff for anyone who would pay. I was about to eat my pride and ask for a loan from my in-laws. That would have been depressing and make me feel like less of a man for having to do that. My in-laws are not the kindest people and would have held that over my head for many years. Thankfully I didn't have to go that route and the light at the end of the tunnel is shining bright!

Hey Graf, I am sorry to hear that. I wish you the best of luck and am pulling for you. Hang in there buddy!

Yeah, I was freaking out for a long time. I guess someone was looking out for me.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words, it mean a lot! I hope my little bit of luck rubs off on the others here that can relate to this.

Congrats Unforgiven!! Maybe I could steal some of your favour with the work goods for a good freind of mine who has been laid off since march. Construction around here has been dead since the price of oil took that dip this spring.
