Forget films. They're rarely there. Although the original Poltergeist, 13 Ghosts, Woman In Black (first one, with Harry Potter in it), Jessabelle, and the Conjuring can be pretty good though.

Having said that.

Play Amnesia the Dark Descent. Fuck watching films. Black out curtains up, no lights, headphones on for all, or just turn up the surround sound. Or just watch a lets play (Gopher, I think is the best. He's not scared easily, and has a fantastic, non jerky, low mouse sensitivity playstyle).

A Machine for Pigs isn't as scary, but it's up there, as is Outlast; Whistleblower.

PC. I don't think any of them are on console.

As for what Vaz suggested, I've seen the original Poltergeist, 13 Ghosts, and The Conjuring. Great films all, though none of them scared me.

My youtube channel. Feel free to stop by and have a look if you're interested. I do Airsoft, some warhammer related videos, and gaming videos.

R.I.P. Uncle Lee. You will be greatly missed by us all. We will see each other again some day.

Then that is do-able! I can track those down and hook the PC into my flatscreen and make an entire weekend of it!

I would suggest you try both penumbra games as well. same Devs as Amnesia, but the graphics are a bit more dated. however still a very dark and creepy atmosphere.

as someone who enjoys scary/creepy games. I can also suggest Alien: Isolation and evil within.

EDIT: just noticed @Haskanael also mentioned it

Unfortunately Canada got rid of the penny and now my two cents rounds down to zero, so...take it for what you will.

I'll have to pick up a headset and Alien: Isolation, it just looks so cool.

So, I'm looking at picking up:
Alien: Isolation
Evil Within
Amnesia the Dark Descent
A Machine for Pigs
Two Penumbra games... @Haskanael what are they called or is Penumbra the name?

If your going for games and have a PS4 try Until Dawn, I played it in the dark, no light, nothing but the game and its music, I jumped frequently. Admitedly when it reached a certain point - you know what i mean if you have played it - it can be off putting for the mood, but otherwise Id check it out.

I think horror movies generally are dead, but games however, thats a different story.
