Our minds are compensating for the assumed colour change applied by a shadowed area and trying to remove it. We don't know what illusion, reflection or refraction is applied, or the changes made to it in post processing.

I see gold and white, and used to wear glasses until i got zapped by frikkin lazer beams!

Same boat here. Also partially red/green colorblind and I have issues properly identifying some shades of pink.

Everyone that I have talked to (including this thread) that has glasses or corrective surgery has said yellow/gold. I'm still waiting on someone with 20/20 vision to say anything but blue/black.

Honestly, I didn't care at all until I came up with this half assed theory and now I only care about seeing if it's right....for maybe 24 more hours.

Unfortunately Canada got rid of the penny and now my two cents rounds down to zero, so...take it for what you will.

My sight averages out to 30/20. So much better than average. And I saw it as white and gold initially. No corrective surgery, glasses, anything like that.

I very much doubt it. I'm ridiculously hyperopic, ad I saw the thing perfectly from the word go. I imagine it's more mental than anything else.

Default This Goddamn Dress

Yesterday morning it was gold and white, yesterday eve it was gold and white. It is still gold and white.

Edit: Just saw a swedish voting where 50% said white/gold whilst 41% said blue black. The real dress is blue black according to the source but is istresting since it is 8-2 here. Scientists explain it with optical adaptation.

Good to be green
