Well I'm sure all you nutty Football fans out there that are either celebrating Germany's victory or rioting over Argentina's loss. Either way it was a 1-0 win for the Germans in the last 5 minutes of the game.

Now do us other Sports fans a favor and shut it for the next 4 years ok? Jeez lets get the Olympics back already.

Thank god for the Germans (now there is something I never thought I would say). On a more serious note from what I understand it was a match up of "Best team work" vs "best player + 10 others" so I'm glad the Germans came out on top, more deserving of the win.

I confess I'm not a Football fan, but I was hoping Argentina would win. It really would have been a great motivator to the people, but I suppose we will have to wait for the next game.

Besides the Argentinians have already started to riot, one of the few reasons I'll never be a Football fan..........

It was certainly a much better match than the last time they faced off in a World Cup final. Italia 90 was the first world cup I got massively into, mainly because it was the first one the Republic of Ireland qualified for, and even only aged 14 I remember thinking that the final was a horribly ugly game. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

As for Messi getting player of the tournament? Bullshit of the highest order. Even Maradonna and Blatter were surprised with that one.

What has that to do with what went on on the pitch, and how could it possibly affect your enjoyment of it? This happened over a thousand miles from where the match took place.

Something like that their 3rd overall if you count the un-unified years?

It's not like rioting as a reaction to a lost game is unique to Football either. But that means some form logic must be applied and good luck with that...
