She's not the only one that thinks Space Marines are bland

Unless they're Dark Angels of course. Dark Angels are awesome.

My girlfriend encourages me, which is awesome. I was so afraid to tell her when we first started dating that I play with toy soldiers lol. She now helps me paint and build them but she said...never will she learn to play lol

I beg to differ, how can the pretty boys of the 3rd legion be bland? ;)

She's excited that I have hobbies that I'm passionate about. She's bought me a few things for Xmas/birthday, as well.

Best part is that she said she'd love to play with me! I'm very lucky .

My girlfriend has always supported my eccentricities (one of the many reasons why we're together) and is also a painter, so that bodes well provided I keep my skills up to snuff. She's played a few games with me, even floored me once with my own Necron army. When we first got together we would joke about having glass display cases for my models and I honestly believed that I wouldn't want to display them, but now that we've been living together for a year and a half and we're thinking of buying a house I'm totally serious about doing it It helps that I've improved as a painter as well of course.

Really though, I catch zero flak about this hobby from anyone aside from my oldest sister (who would rather I be out mountain biking: valid) pretty much solely because I am so into it. If a friend strikes on a conversation with me about it there's so many details and such passion that they can't help but respect it...but then again, they are my friends for a reason. A lovely bunch of people they are!

Unfortunately Canada got rid of the penny and now my two cents rounds down to zero, so...take it for what you will.

Mine is the same way! She's very encouraging, helps me test out tactics and stuff with the armies I own, encourages me to go out and join clubs, play, etc.

My whole family and friends encourage it and are happy about it, even my rather uptight and prickly older brother thinks it's a great thing.

Gods fellas. Never forget how lucky you are. All of mine have been pretty negative about it. Not negative like, as in passive, but negative as in; this is childish and weird, you need to never mention it around me, or my friends and stop doing it someday.
