Make either the 1 or the six music-related, as in

Or else go snake eyes or double sixes, I don't see a point in anything else

hahaha, a sixteenth note as the 6. I enjoy!

Unfortunately Canada got rid of the penny and now my two cents rounds down to zero, so...take it for what you will.

I envy you guys - you can learn music without having to learn the associated historical bollocks that we get in the uk.

16th note across the pond = 16 notes in a bar = Sensible.

16th note in the uk = 16 notes in a bar = semi-quaver = Bullshit.

I'm jealous cos we had to learn the beneath. Which is just completely stupid.

Hemi Demi Semi Quaver

And back to topic - Yeah, get a dice tat. That looks cool

Warhammer Tattoo is definitely on my list. Only have 2 at the moment and both are equally geeky.

If you are wondering - They are the Counter Strike desktop icon and the Scorpion Clan Mon from L5R.

Holy mother of god. That's allllll kinda of fuckery right there.

Though I have invariably taught myself theory through my own study, playing for a living, and conversation with peers...had I gone to school for a similar education they may very well have forced those things upon me.

It's using Latin in music. Which is stupid.
Andante means 'walking pace'.
WTF is wrong with just saying walking pace?

I have one tribal tat. Got it when I was much younger - me mum said it looked horrible and told me off about it for about a week. At least till I said 'What are you going to do if you convince me I don't like it?'
So she shut up about it and just gave me disapproving looks. At least it got more peaceful

Yeah, I've had to learn a bit of the Latin words but only for the instances when I was teaching a student how to read sheet music. It amazes me how many guitar players don't get past root-5ths and 4/4 time. Anyway...

Dice tattoo might actually happen now, though I would forgo the 16th note on account of the 21" or so of sheet music I have tattooed around my forearm. Snake eyes for sure on account of Insane Heroism, and they'd be translucent red dice with black or white pips. One could argue that my wizard hat tattoo is vaguely reminiscent of WFB, but in reality it's a reference to my band. I've also been told that it looks a lot like the Sorting Hat from Harry Potter, which doesn't surprise me because the tattoo artist is into those books/movies.

Such a delicate spot. The sheet music on my forearm winds into that area and it got tense. Nowhere near as bad as when it got onto my elbow though.
