So yeah, this thread totally turned out to be the "I hope you all have a great evening, regardless of what you celebrate or don't" that I hoped it would be.
I'm not religious. I couldn't care less about the theory behind it, or who took the holiday from who. I care about spending a traditional evening with my family, where each year there's a little something special about this evening. The mood, the food and the general feeling is special, as it's Christmas. A fond childhood memory that we use as a conduit for a holiday around various parts of the country your family and seeing those you hold dear.
That's what Christmas is to me. It's not about religion. It's about family and taking the chance to show them that you love them, as most people don't do that very often. And I hope that everyone who celebrates it, sees it the same way.
If you don't celebrate it, fine. If you don't like it, fine. But how about some respect for those of us who actually like this evening, instead of being sore asses all of you? Are you really so determined to show how cool you are and how much you hate this holiday, that you can't even let one seasonal greetings post slip your sight? You don't see me throdding around your holidays and your well wishes to all on this forum. The original post was to wish all of you a nice evening, so how about you act like adults and have the "If I don't have anything positive to say, I'll just not say anything" just this one evening?
I can't believe I had to make this post. You really need to lighten up.
