So my better half has injured her foot, and now has something called 'drop foot'. Basically the nerves on the top of her foot are damaged so the foot droops and isnt particularly movable.
She did this on 12th September and has started going back to work this week.
My gripe is that for the time she was off work, i did the dutiful other half job of running round, cooking dinner, doing all the cleaning and picking up all the jobs we usually split up so she could keep the weight off and heal up. Now she's back at work, she seems to be almost deliberately pushing herself because "well work needs me to traipse about london for these meetings".... So you cant stand and unload the dishwasher at home, but you can get on a train, wander about london and go to meetings because "work wants you to".
We spent both our birthdays at home (ours are only a couple of weeks apart) and I cancelled a romantic weekend away because she didnt want to do any damage to the healing foot, but fannying about for some chumps that want you to go above and beyond is ok?
Bitches be trippin', yo!
