grimaldus: here if you ever need to talk to someone who's confidential and non-judgmental.
Same for anyone else here.
For my own part, this isn't about hurt caused to myself but for other people causing negativity for themselves from their own attitudes.
I guess aspirations are good to have (?), but it seems that some people nowadays have unrealistic ones and this causes them problems (i.e. they want what they want, they want it "Now!" instead of later and in some cases they can't achieve it anyway, so it causes them frustration and bad thoughts/actions).
For instance, I used to have problems with various neighbours living next door to me and complaining about my dogs barking.
They already knew I had dogs before they moved in. I had told them that the dogs would bark (i.e. what circumstances and for how long) and they were okay with it. However, they just kept kicking off about it.
When those neighbours moved out, some more moved in and it started all over again.
In the end, those people were living where they could afford to, but expected that they would get the same level of privacy/"shutting off the outside world"/etc as if they were in really high-end houses (which they weren't).
Despite me (and others) explaining the situation, they just got themselves more & more frustrated, so that eventually some of them were thrown out because of their worsening behaviour.
I just felt a bit sorry for them that they couldn't get past their own selfishness.
This is probably about as "venting" as I get, though.
