Default Valentines Day Plans?

Alright so I know some of us are aware that Valentines Day is coming up (If you didn't and have a partner of some kind, you may thank me).

So what are your plans for the day that male wallets will become empty? Going out somewhere with your partner? spoiling yourself with something? or just treating it like any other day?

Me and my girlfriend will just be going out for dinner somewhere and then comming back to my house, because our 3 year anniversary is coming up in just under a month and I need to save up more money for that You don't get a lot of money as an 18 year old.

We do not celebrate it.

My wife always forgot the day we started dating (which made my anniversary gifts a proper surprise) and now does not remember our wedding anniversary so celebrating a less meaningful date would be silly.

Even if we did, I would seek to avoid the few days either side as all the restaurants are packed and many have menus slanted to look romantic rather than taste great.

My girlfriend and I have had a weekend down in Bournemouth at a hotel. It was her birthday last week and I am unable to see her this week due to work commitments.

The hotel was ok, staff friendly apart from the cowardly manager as we have had no hot water for the entire day and night. Check out today was reasonable as they didn't charge me for the upgrade to the room and also no charge for the 3 course meal we are last night.

It just great to spend time with her. Long distance relationship as I am in the military but going as strong as ever.

@Dave, yeah my girlfriend is actually working on Valentines day, so we're having the dinner the night before. Which I thought worked out well because the places won't be packed and changed.

@Zero, That sounds like a pretty good way to spend time, especially if it's long distance. More so with the free upgrade and meal.

well ... I took one for the team and got her yet another ring ... This one has 3 saphires on each side and they are putting her original diamond in it. Was not to bad for price, just shy of $2,000. The things you do for love.

We don't really celebrate Valentines, just a Chinese takeaway with a movie and we are content. Our 5 year is coming up in March anyway so I got a lot of thinking to do on that lol

This year, like last year, my wife and I are going to a place called The Royal Canvas for a "couples paint session" where we do an adjoining 1/2&1/2 portrait. This year's Valentine portrait is a glass with wine pouring into it with the top half having a red wine poured in and the bottom half having a white one splashing up.
