Sure they cost a bit (pssst buy from the US ozzies !) but they are models for life and really well made for the most part. Being that they come from a long standing game system and there are like minded souls all over the world it will be a long time before they are gathering dust on the shelf, like my racing trophies.

if you want dwarves in 40k then just paint 'em up and use them as a special SM Chapter: The Emperors Short Arses and it will all be good. that's what is so gr8 about 40k anything goes!

I love the fluff, I've read over my Tyranid codex, the fluff parts, multiple times, and it never gets old. I also love the models, I've gotten a new respect for painting, I used to hate it but I like being able to play with a fully painted army.

I hate that FW models look sooooo freaking awesome and I want them all but they're a little pricey. If they weren't so cool it'd be ok.

I like the models and the painting I do that on my own a lot.

I don't play much and the price sucks but my biggest beef is all those fluff mongers out there I like a good story and if some one puts a lot of time into their fluff who am I to say that it can't be that way just because I know more fluff than you?

i don't get this price thing,
a tactical marine today costs 2.30
in 1988 he would have had to cost 1.04
in order to be equivalent in 1988 money (due to inflation)
and i'm betting he cost more than that.

one thing i don't like though,
is the cost of carry-cases for an army.
i don't think so.

I love the 40k fluff but after spending thousands of dollars on Space Marines and the start of my Saim Hann Eldar army I really don't want to fork over another god knows how much to finish getting the Jetbikes I need at $20 per bike and 15 per warlock. Just painful

The aftermath is red. The ground is stained with blood. Death is everywhere. A god laughs. All is darkness...

Like everyone else has said, I love the models and love to paint them. I have started one or two to many armies in my time of Warhammer but I love doing so. I love to paint and it keeps me out of trouble, and unlike most of my friends, I work sercurity and can paint at work.

I hate the prices, but as another has said, I hate the prices of most the things I have to by i.e. smokes, gas, rent, and so on
