Dragonlance- Hell yes. These are still one of my favorite novels of all time. Begin with the Chronicles trilogy and follow with the legends trilogy. Finish it off with Dragons of Summer Flame, everything other than those are hit or miss.

Tales of the Malazan Book of the Fallen- I can't say enough about these books honestly. I haven't finished the whole series yet, but they are amazing and different than anything I've ever read before.

I personally have always thought the Forgotten Realms books were not very good unless they were written about Drizzt.

The Demon Wars books are excellent. Brett has become one of my favourite fantasy authors in the space of just three books. Hopefully we see a couple more in the series.

The Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks is very good. Also, the first 3 books of the Magician series by Raymond Feist is some of the best fantasy out there. Try some Terry Pratchett for some light relief as well.

If you mean Peter V. Brett's Demon Cycle series then I would highly recommend it, it's one of my favourite fantasy series and we can expect at least two more books in the series.

Skulduggery Pleasant is a series I would also enthusiastically recommend, it's very funny even when it's almost grimdark and the author really knows how to write great characters, even the unrepentantely evil and cruel villains are awesome. For me it's the best part that I like the heroes more, which for me is very rare.

Codex Alera is a fantasy series i've recently gotten into, it's by Dresden Files author Jim Butcher and has all the things that make his writing great. Plus it has Roman Legionnaires with elemental magic fighting werewolves and shapeshifting insects, what's not awesome about that? And it proves that there are no bad ideas, only bad authors. (Read how the series came about and you'll understand.)

I would also suggest the novel Malice by John Gwynne, it's a new series from a new author and I really enjoyed it, dark fantasy with obviously Celtic origins for the lore and characters, and their names. Plus it has giants, and that's always a plus.

Shame the fat bastard is probably going to do a Robert Jordan and croak before he finishes. He's not exactly quick about bringing out each instalment.

Dragonlance was super cool when I read it as a kid. I'm not sure how well it holds up, but I'm sure it's worth checking out.

I'd also recommend taking a look at Hyperion, if you're into some more sci-fi shenanigans.
It's a very cool book and I feel it has a pretty unique atmosphere and feel, much like the best 40k books.
