blimey someone with common sense, I've been saying that for years, and being called an idiot for it too all the time

TheKingElessar Armoured Fist squads are redundant, as all non-specialist Infantry now get the option of Chimeras.

Well, since your sarge has a pistol, he can use the power weapon with +1 attack, that's something. And you could give him a bolt pistol if you really wanted.
My latest list of SoB has an IG infantry platoon with three squads bunched together, their sarges all have power weapons, so does the single commissar. And I used a WH priest with eviscerator. That's 16 attacks on the charge with reroll to hit, all powerweapons from the squad alone. ( and 3 more from the priest with an eviscerator )

As always with IG, safety in numbers.

And yes, hellguns aka hot-shot lasguns are AP 3. Stormtroopers are 16 points per model now too. But they've been given extra kickassness.

The main armoury entry has been removed and upgrades for various models are now listed with their squads themselves, along with the other squad upgrades.
Overall, a good thing I think. Makes outfitting squads way more easy than before. Though yes, some options have been removed because of this.
Infantry commissare can no longer have powerfists for instance.

Overfeind never under estimate it i did till one day all my shots from a vet team bounced of a single terminator. i had forgot the laspistol till my opponent pointed it out and i used it somehow it coursed a wound and he rolled a 1 yay, now all my Sargent have been upgraded with bolt pistols just for that extra kick.

Inquisitor Einar Since a platoon HQ officer can only issue one order, you can always take one of those.
With 4 plasma guns, that squad is around 95 points.

Inquisitor Einar HQ squad, they're all veterans, and can be upgraded with neat stuff.
A vox being one of the better options imho, since it means your officer can now issue his orders and expect them to be heard and obeyed.

lawrence96 what squad can have 4 BS4 meltas??
05-11-09 11:35 AM
TheKingElessar Nothing, if you don't intend to use it. Or it's dark and you can't see where you're going. In a squad that can have 4 BS4 Meltas, or Plasmas, a lasgun is a waste.
