Yes it is. I noticed that when I looked a bit more into the other legions background. This fluff is useless now as I've completely redone their story and changed the name of the planet.

Amethyst Brothers - The II Legion.

This is a bit of fluff on the II legion I'm developing. It's not much but i'm planning to make their history more detailed when i've finished the models. I might try and make the Primarch but I'm not very good at modelling.

The Amethyst Brothers home was a paradise world with extensive diamond mines named Olympia. The ruler of this world found a young man living ferally in the deep amethyst caverns of his palace. He took him in and was amazed by his abilities in combat and his intellect and soon after adopted him, naming him Amethis. The army's uniform was changed to honour this, with blue cloaks and black diamond armour for veterans and light blue diamond armour with white stripes for initiates. Their guns and swords were embellished with gold and an amethyst was placed in the pommel of their swords. The army had been struggling against rebels located in the deserts so Amethis was made their Commander and sent in to fight them. While fighting the last of the rebels Amethis received a message informing him of the rulers death. He quickly completed his mission and raced to the capital for the funeral . After the funeral had finished the skies turned dark as strange crafts dropped out of the sky. The first craft opened and a light shone out causing the gathered crowd to avert their eyes. Only Amethis remained standing as a voice whispered out causing men to drop to their knees as a feeling of unworthiness came over them. "My son I have come for you, to help me rediscover this galaxy with a great crusade."

The army quickly started taking tests to prove themselves worthy of becoming space marines. Those that did retained their diamond armour which was incorporated onto the new power and terminator armour, giving them added protection. The Legion soon embarked on their part of the Crusade. After an argument with the other Primarchs, Amethis became more distant and eventually stopped listening to most of his orders, instead taking the course of action he believed to be right. During one difficult campaign the legion surprised their imperial army allies by removing their troops and entering the warp leaving them to their death at the hands of the enemy. The Primarch had recieved a vision of the destruction of Olympia and had ordered a complete withdrawal to defend it. This was seen by the Imperial commanders as complete recklessness as they didn't know what had occured.

As the fleet entered real space above Olympia he saw a group of large moon shaped vessel's fire beams at the planet destroying it instantly. The fleet surged forward ripping into the ships with their diamond prows and boarding them. After a hard fought battle the Primarch handed command to the 1st company's master and boarded a smaller cruiser taking the 1st company with him, vowing to purge his fathers empire of the Necrons. His ship was last seen entering the warp and all searches have been unsuccessful in finding him.

The new Master found a new uninhabited planet and scrapped half of the ships to build an impenetrable fortress. The other ships were left patrolling the region claiming planets in the name of the emperor. The Legion slowly replenished its companies but left the 1st company as a sign of respect due to their fate being unknown. Unfortunately the legion had chosen to site their fortress on a warp tainted planet which slowly infected their warriors. Soon only the Master and his bodyguard and the newest initiates were left unchanged by the mutations , due to being too strong willed or not being around the taint for too long. This small force was slowly pushed back by the Tide of Chaos. A newly formed Inquistorial force with a grey knight cruiser stumbled upon the planet and slowly forced the tainted marines and daemons back. The Chapter master was found split in half in the top chamber with only a veteran squad with two initiates left firing at his killer form behind a barricade. The mighty legion had been reduced to only 7 men who were allowed to join the force in the hope that they might redeem their chapters name and may one day find their Primarch.
