Moonschwine Battlescribe gets my vote.

As I understand it, GW came down recently on a third party because it used copyright material.

Battlescribe is also now asking for sponsorship, but at a minor payout for both desktop and mobile device support I think it's worth it. The community is also pretty fast when it comes to releases, I think within 3 days the Chaos marine codex was updated with all the nuances.

I believe at some point GW will release its own app, if the age of sigmar website is anything to go off.

ntaw Battlescribe here as well. It's up to volunteers to make the data used for list building so some of the rules can have little typos and occasionally be wrong, but everything is frequently updated and problems rarely persist. Super easy to use.

Surely in this modern era, there should be a wonderful digital application to alllow me to build my army with an iPad or similar?

Something that knows the rules, the codexes, the options, the points count etc.

If not there is a huge opportunity for someone far smarter than me.

I would be interested to hear what methods you folks use for army building.

Thanks
