Serpion5 I remember when the carnifex first came out, it was literally one of the best kits in the range.

It's certainly showing its age now, making gw's improvement with plastic kits readily apparent.

And I do completely understand your gripe, it's even worse when you want such a loadout on the hive tyrant and the weapons only come in the carnifex kit.

Squire I really like the fex model but I can see what you mean. It can be tricky positioning the top and bottom pairs of arms so that they don't touch or get in each other's way

Anyone else unimpressed with Carnifex model?

Title pretty much says it all. I bought the Tyranid Swarm box, and just glued the Carnifex. I wanted to give it two pairs of twin-linked devourers, but the sprues only had one pair, so i glued the other pair as Deathspitters, which I intend to proxy as devourers. Not a big deal, but it's still annoying. In assembling the model, I found that the guns touch each-other, because the model is rather squat, which is going to make it hard to paint in the future, and gives it a rather stupid pose. Anyone else have feel this way about the Carnifex?
