danneloftyr One of the interesting things about the 40k universe is that it makes an argument that in certain situations a fascist government where every person is expected to devote their entire life to serve the state is the ONLY reasonable option against the constant threats of the universe. Of course 20 some years later they come out with the Tau.......but 40k has changed alot over the years.

I mean originally space marines were basically superhuman psychotics who would follow any order. Now they are superhuman boy scouts.

LeeHarvey Aurelius- Cool man. I didn't realize that. I may just need to make the switch. I've been playing with my army and thinking of them as Dorn's chilren for so Long, I might have a hard time thinking of them as the progeny of Fulgrim. (That would be a cool chapter name, The Progeny of Fulgrim.)

Alex- Thanks man, I'm glad you like it. I was kinda trying to right it in the same style as a codex. More like a history lesson than an actual story you know?

Alex This looks excellent. I always like to see the fluff behind the force and this is done really well.

Inquisitor Aurelius I'm fairly certain that the Blood Ravens were created from Thousand Sons gene-seed, and similarly, the Grey Knights are the genetic descendants of those members of the Traitor Legions that were on the Eisenstein, so you're pretty much in the clear as far as that goes .

LeeHarvey Thanks Fallen. I never thought about making them be created from the EC gene-seed.
I chose the Imperial Fist Gene-seed because I always like the Fluff for Rogal Dorn and the Fists. Dedicated, loyal and zealous are themes that I tried to incorporate into my chapter's background. I never really liked the Ultramarines or their backstory enough to want to make a successor from them. My army starded off as an significantly divergent chapter and I have tried to represent that in their fluff through their organization, fighting style and viewpoint.

I can see how their persuit of perfection strongly hints at an Emperor's Children successor. Unfortunately, I don't think the Adeptus Terra would sanction the founding of a new chapter from the gene-seed of a Legion that turned traitor, otherwise I might be tempted to change TMR's origins.

Fallen ...the master race (TMR) idea, specifically location, seems almost entirely the same to my own idea (the Death Bearers) as they are located in the Cinchare system and are also put into the 'boarder patrol' duty. i think that it is entirely possible that the TMR has its gene-seed be from the Emperor's Children based on their on self arrogance(or whatever). all in all i REALLY like your idea

Inquisitor Aurelius Ah. Fair enough. Arrogant prigs even by Astartes standards, eh ? Still not a fan of the "Kompanie" thing, but again, that's just down to personal preference.

Y'know, I could see Slaanesh playing a major role in the Master Race's future...

LeeHarvey Thanks for the feedback Aurelius. The "Master Race" is how my Chapter views itself, they don't subscribe to the more common view of a Codex Space Marine Chapter that you've pointed out. They believe themselves to be the pinnacle of what it means to be human, not less than, and therefore subservient to, the common man. That's the reasoning for naming the chapter as such. Simply for how they view themselves.

The reason I have spelled it Kompanie is because I'm trying to keep with the Germanic/Nazi theme and 'Kompanie' is the German translation/spelling of the english 'Company'.

And I do use both the Swastika and the SS runes on my models. Have a look in the gallery and check them out.

Thanks again for your feedback, I appreciate you taking the time to let me know what you thought and I'm glad you like the work. It's been a long process and I'm still not entirely finished as you can tell.

Inquisitor Aurelius I'm not so sure I agree with your interpretation of the Imperium (or Chaos), but you've done some nice work here. I've just got two problems with it. The first is the concept of the Astartes as a superior race. While undoubtedly true from any objective standpoint, they're always described as "sacrificing" their humanity - the point being that to be human is considered a sacred privilege, which the Space Marines forgo in order to defend the teeming masses of Humanity (note the capitalization). While they are undoubtedly proud to be Marines, it's just not the same thing.

The other, rather briefer point is more one of opinion - I'm not a fan of the term "Kompanies". It reads... Orky, or something. But maybe that's just me.

Overall, though, nicely done. Oh, and one last thing - I note the Swastika Chapter livery. Could not the point be made more subtly with the funny little lightning-bolt SS things?

LeeHarvey It sure is. I wanted to point out how similar GW made the Imperium to the Nazi Party of WWII. Somebody would have to be terribly dense when reading the published background not to notice the parallels. Just look at my signature.

Anyway, Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you enjoy my writing.
