arhain put them on a hill in two ranks and DON'T MOVE

very hard to shift and you can remove that one model in the rank of five which = no rank bonus

and what is a dragon prince's worst enemy

Green Knight When I use Sea guard I put them in 1 or 2 rank to start with so they can hummer the enermy with arows, then when the enermy get to close, I reform them in to 3 or 4 ranks. I tend to use units of 18 so I can reform them in to 6 by 3.

Dialgar Sea guards are a mix of spearman and archers, the way i see it in a unit of 15 seaguards the only time you should use them over spearmen is when you have a 1.5k+ game. since the table should be big, there is a higher chance of being able to shoot more oftern. although the SG they are good for weakening the opponant whilst you advance towards them (the problem is the +1 to hit)

and wht do you mean spearmen too weak? 4+ Armour save, attack in 3 ranks, always strieks first. i would be lost without them!

jigplums in my experience seaguard aren't really worth the extra points. they have regualar bows and the extra points soon adds up. as you want to maximise rank bonus so they don't get owned on combat res then you end up with 5/7 shots a turn, having to move on the first turn, INTO there range if they are a shooty force and therefore hit on 5's. if your lucky you may kill 1 low T low Armour model in the first turn maybe 2 in a normal round.
Or you can have more points elsewhere?

arhain with the spearmen i find them too weak to do anything

so i well stay with lothren sea guard

jigplums Dragon princes are an awesome unit, but i suggest keeping them cheap and cheerful. For 150pts its amazingly good. you can afford several units and they are amoungst the best cav in the game.

Green Knight I have said to add lothen sea guard, for that point.

Dialgar GET SPEARMEN! i found that spearment are one of the HE best units. they ca attack in 3 ranks so if points will allow get 2 sets of 7X3 you get 21 attacks. combined with their always strikes first you will destroy most units not bad for 200 points a unit.
Swordmasters are good. white lions are good for getting through tough units.
