Well I have never been a huge fan of 20 man squads. When it comes to close comabt, you might get those extra guys in there but rarely will you have enough room/time to use all of them effectively. I'd go with 2 squads of 10 instead.
And yes a skull champion is worth it. With the extra attack and options (give him a power fist) you'll have a model with 4 attacks on the assault with a strength 9 weapon!

Thanx, my buddy wont stop talking about his Nightbringer. He keeps asking questions about Huron's stats to compare to his Nightbringer! So all i have to do now is ignore it ... and him.
which is better to have: 2 squads of 10 berserker's or one large squad of 20? Is it worth it to have a Skull Champion?

vs necrons, kill his warriors and his flayed ones and he'll phase out (crons auto lose when they only have 25% of their army left on the board or less) and ignore the nightbringer.
vs the sm player, theres no set strategy vs some one who can deploy any kind of army he wants lol thousand sons are excellent marine killers. any weapon that is AP3 is generally good

HERO of Badab!
I'm new to Warhammer 40k and to the Heresy
I've started a chaos army based on the Red Corsairs
Right now I have (fully painted) 1 Squad
- Huron Blackheart
- 1 Aspiring Champion - Power sword, Plasma Pistol
- 8 Chaos Space Marines - Flamer, Meltagun
- Rhino - Combi-Flamer
This troop is Huron's bodyguards hopefully they'll do a good job at it.
I'll post Photos as soon as I figure out how
I have (unpainted)
- 15 Chaos Space Marines (1 Aspiring Champion - Power Fist, Plasma Pistol)
- 20 Khorne Berserker's
- 5 Possessed Space Marine
- 1 Obliterator
- 1 Defiler
I'll be mostly fighting Necrons and Space Marines
- Necron lord
- 5 Flayed ones
- 2x10 Warriors
- 3 Destroyers
- 7 scarabs
Player has 10,000 point army to choose any combination from!
So if any suggestions on how to beat them or troop selection would be very appreciated
