With the rumors of dark angels being slated for the next realese slot you may want to wait a month and use some holiday money on a deathwing force (at least thats my plan ![]() |

So I've been looking at the options given here and thinking that a Lamenters force would be a good change up from my mostly red Eldar. Use the Blood Angels codex and paint a worn yellow army. Sounds like a good change if pace and an army that I can build on while starting small. I was looking at Dark Eldar, but they're jut a little too close to Eldar for variety's sake. |

How about Dark Eldar? They're battle-brothers with Eldar. That gives you opportunity to just slowly collect them starting with the obligatory 1 HQ, 1 Troop -- and when you field them as allies, they'd benefit from Farseer psychic abilities, which makes them awesome. Not only do you not have to splurge $$ on a whole new army right off the bat, but you also gain experience with a smaller force and get a better idea of how to expand on them. Also, DE have some of the best models in the GW line. Even the standard Kabalite Warrior looks great. Hellados | I play Blood Angels and prefer the current rules for Wolves, imho BAs are very specialist and elite atm. I would probably suggest Imperial Guard for some cheap units to use to hold objectives and some flying anti tank from the vendetttas (not to mention the tanks) |

Fallen | Grey Knights are perhaps the cheapest army to play with, however im not sure if they are able to be allies with the eldar, so you couldn't team up in games. |

Looking for a second army So, I currently play Eldar. Not a lot, I've only just started. But I'd like to have a second army to work on when I'm feeling tired of painting and assembling space elves. I'm looking for something with a relatively low model count, and doesn't cost a fortune to play. I've been told that Blood Angels are good for this. I'm thinking a Space Marine chapter (Dark Angles, maybe since they were in teh DV box?) of some kind is good just because they are the favored sons of GW and therefore get more releases more regularly. I'm looking for input from those more in the know than I am. So thoughts, ideas? |
