To be fair to Games Workshop, if it's an oldie from my Local GW on the til, then I typically get to have a rummage around in the bits boxes at the back.
Typically because I often gave some of the guys many of my uneeded things. For example, when I bought my MkIV armour, I stripped the MkVII armour and gave it to the store. Usually I get multi-buys as well, taken out of some of the guys discounts left over at the end of the month.

|The Ebon Flight||I might have, I started around wargaming in 96-97 and I was in BSA at the time ... so assuming I realized what I was looking at ... maybe?|

|jaysen||And there's no such thing as a "Sale" at a GW store. I have gotten lucky with some of the Rogue Trader stores, though. I got three razorbacks for $10 apiece once, back around 1998.|

But the last free gift that came with WD was the Ork Nob from the AoBR set, those cheap bastards don't away shit now.

|jaysen||Yeah, I wonder how much more popular this hobby would be if GW actually had a good advertisement department or at least sold White Dwarf in popular book stores.|

|Djinn24||I never knew that they advertised anywhere else but their own stuff. I am actually quite shocked. That would have been 3rd Ed.|

But I live in a universe where GW only advertises in its own publication and doesn't give stuff away.

|Lubacca||I wasn't around the hobby when it happened, wish I had been though|
