Home Made Model Stripper Seeing as how I just got my paints today I was messing around knowing I was gonna wind up stripping the model. What I'm wondering is if anyone else as used this mix before? a 50/50 mix of ISO Alcohol and Peroxide (I played bathroom chemist as an 8yr old so I knew this was safe) Then I added some toothpaste for grit. I let the model sit in extremely hot water with some ISO in it for about five minutes before I started started scrubbing with a tooth brush. This was the result: Attachment 12943 Sorry for the crap pic, but my camera is picky about its focus. It took about 5 minutes to get that much off, most primer and paint came off. I threw it up into the air and let hit the floor to see it got overly brittle or anything, it only popped off the base. |
