MrHuk | It seems daylight bulbs aren't very common in the UK, I can only find one major shop that does them. |

Djinn24 | As well as some have elements in the glass to filter out certain lightwaves. |

Dave T Hobbit | Daylight bulbs will be fine in an ordinary fitting. The only difference is the filament and inert gas mix used to produce the light. |

MrHuk | Do you need a special lamp to use daylight bulbs? Or will my basic cheapo lamp be fine? I found these bulbs and they're super cheap for a top brand: http://www.johnlewis.com/150932/Product.aspx |

MrHuk | Is there such a thing as too bright when painting? Going from 28w > 100w will be quite a jump. |

Djinn24 | Yepper, it only draws 40w, but puts light out like a higher wattage bulb. |

scscofield | Yep, it's like you put a normal 40W bulb in there, the reason the less wattage ones put more light out is because of how well they work. Putting a 40W CFL in there is like putting a normal 40W bulb in terms of power draw, it just puts out more light. |
