|Iraqiel||Stunning work mate. I really like your soft blending with extreme highlights over the top, it's a dramatic and effective technique.|

|wide_ocean||The painting is absolutely stunning and I also like the OSL, which gives it a nightly feeling. The lower lights point in front of the vehicle, the upper lights far away. Done. But since we're pedantic, why "Fury" in English, when the Blood Angels especially use a lot of renaissance-y Italian and Latin terminology? Anyhow, I'm drooling over this paint job.|

|ntaw||Silens and I were talking about whether there should have been OSL on the tank from the searchlight and not about the execution, then I brought up a comment about inconsistent weathering; neither techniques are ones that I employ or usually enjoy at all, this model seems to be the exception for both aside from the pedantic things I pointed out. Everyone in here is in agreement that this model is painted to an exceptional standard, I guess to my eyes it seems that the higher the standard of painting the more little things pop out.|

|Silens||Er, well... My opinion is that THIS is how it should be done so I don't think showing my own OSL would be appropriate. But that's not the point, we're just discussing what we like. What difference does it make? If one of us can't paint to this level then we're not allowed an opinion? It doesn't work like that.|

|fatmantis||or you can both put up a razor back equal to this and show us how it "should have been done"|

Honestly, I didn't even see the weathering until now, but I think it's tastefully minimalist.
I think we'll just have to agree to disagree with the OSL.
My least favourite part is actually the freehand on the hatch. I feel the same way about all tanks which have intricate pictures on them like that, unless perhaps they're something super-duper spectacular (in terms on canon, not paint job) because it just seems nonsensical that the Blood Angels would go "You know what this tank needs? A portrait of one of our dudes on the top of the tank! To strike fear into the hearts of the enemy's aerial units!"
Just seems silly to me.
In regards to the OSL being realistic. I looked at it and thought "Damn, those are some bright lights!"
I believed, even if it were for only a moment, that they were real lights. They convinced me.

|ntaw||I agreed that the model was painted very well and I've seen the thread you speak of, but just because there's worse doesn't make me think the weathering on this tank syncs up with the pristine parts or that the OSL is 'incredibly convincing'.|
