Typhoons all the way. They can stay out of range of bolters. They also have jink. They fit in so nice with bikes.

And there's a major downside to the stormwing. I run it at 1500 sometimes and that single roll that sounds so sweet is the undoing of this formation. More than one game I've had them sitting in reserves until turn 4. Anything 1750+ I always make room for reserves manipulation when taking these guys. It's just 400+ points sitting on a shelf and not killing anything half the game otherwise.

forgefather Splitting up special weapons on bikes to me kinda takes the punch away, but at the same time it offers a little more versatility. It's really a matter of preference. I keep them with the attack bike.

Blood_Knight oh yeah. alright. well still. id combat squad them:

2x special weapon, attack bike, normal bike / 4 bikes and fist bike

still keeping it melee squad and CC squad

or would it be better to spilt the special weapons?

As far as I know with bikes they have to be a combat squad at 5 bikes and 3 bikes with an attack bike. I don't know if you have 8 bikes plus attack or attack is included if it's included it has to be a whole squad to combat squad it if it is not part of the 8 bikes listed then you have the right number of bikes but miscounted in the description. So to combat squad it should look like 5 bikes (with fist)/3bikes (2 grav guns) w/ attack bike.

Blood_Knight Everything has its ups and downs. Unfortunately i think in such a low model count army you cant have much in the way of fire magnets, or throw away units. This list should be able to sustain some casualties, but it needs to get into combat or stay hidden, with Khans special rules and correct movement, i should be able to keep the bikes alive.

forgefather That's true too! I have never been a fan of THC so to each their own. It is a nice list and will work well. I run the speeders all 3 in a squad so if I go first I ca lay down a lot of missile fire into horde armies but the THC ca do that. I also use my speeders as fire magnets if they survive after the first round. Maybe I will try out a THC if I can borrow one I'm not buying it if I only use it once.

forgefather I like your list I run White Scars. I don't run THC because they are to static for me. I do have 1 scout squad but thats to hold home objective. For 2k I add in a land raider redeemer because that's what I have. When I get a second talon it will replace the land raider. I have found that depending on the army you face is what size you want your bike squad. Horde Armies I split them up to give more targets in shooting. My list looks like this at 1750.
