Default Hello, New to Warhammer

Me and my brother have both bought the Warhammer starter sets . He bought the DV one and I purchased the Isle of Blood. We decided we would like to learn how to play both 40k and Warhammer.
I have been a longtime fan of both, having read many books and played video games in the universe, I figured the starter sets were a good way to get a feel for each.
While we are still learning the ins and outs of modeling and tabel top gaming with Warhammer & 40k we both have some base knowledge of the lore.

My brother will be using the Dark angels and I will use the Chaos Marines. We are going to start with 40k as it seems to be the more popular one on our area for people playing.
I have a question tho. I would like to buy something to add to each of our armies.
Dark angels for him and Chaos Marines for me.
Whats a good piece or set that would go well with what you get in the starter box?

Thanks in advance for any help and I look forward to learning about Warhammer

Welcome to Heresy!

There are far more knowledgeable people than myself on here, but my suggestion would be to play a few games with your respective starter armies to see what style of player you are
That can at least guide you in the broad direction of what unit(s) would suit you best.

Anyhow, ebjoy your stay!

welcome to heresy, I cannot really advise you on what to get as I just buy on whims but you could start with the relative codex books and a basic troop choice from that just to start, enjoy the stay!!
